President's Message
Rotary Connects The World
![]()
I can not imagine a better story for our RI theme of Rotary Connects The World, than that of Freedom Fighter IPA. It all starts when then President Dave McCleary learned that human trafficking is happening in our backyard everyday. Pat Rains served as Dave's tournament chair. Years later, Pat Rains and Brian Borngesser meet at our club and share their love of brewing beer. From that relationship, Gate City Brewing Company is born. Fast forward a few more years and the beer Pat & Brian brewed to support Dave's efforts to end human trafficking not only raised money but will raise awareness on all Delta flights out of Atlanta in 2020.
