President's Message

International Day of Education

Monday January 24th was International Day of Education, so the timing of having our guest and past DG Alicia Michaels visit us and present a special award was perfect. Just under 20% of the worlds adult population are illiterate. Rotary International has Basic Education and Literacy as one of its seven core focus areas. Roswell Rotary has supported the Laws of Life essay contest for 15 years contributing to this area of focus. Thank you to Alicia for joining us and Stacy Perlman for many years of leading this effort for our club.

Its cold outside! Why not jump in a frigid cold lake with a group of police officers from Roswell's finest, all to benefit Special Olympics? This week we will be joined by another guest, Officer Jennifer Bennett from our police department to see who is brave enough to jump in a lake, all for a great cause. Come join me on February 19th!

Speaker Jan. 27 Meeting
Steve Beecham- The Tapes We Play in our heads

Exciting Speaker Lined up for Thursday, Jan. 27

Fellow Rotarian Steve Beecham bringing his deep business experience and his high energy passion for people to Roswell Rotary. If you have never heard Steve speak, you are in for a treat.  Steve has a down home, common sense approach to sales and growing relationships that is truly unique.

topic: The Tapes We Play in Our Heads

He will be speaking on the topic of self talk. Our thoughts about ourselves can make us or break us! And he wants to help us make that as positive as possible?

What will I learn?

Steve will be talking with us about three main things...

1. What is the internal conversation we are having?

2. Can you change that conversation?

3. Do you have a Tape you Play consistently?

Join us for what is sure to be an eye opening and inspiring discussion!!
