Program Oct. 27- All about Roswell's Food Scene
Remember
ordering food online and picking up curbside, many for the first time, two and
half years ago when were locked down and couldn’t go out to eat like we used to
do. Restaurants were laying off staff and struggling to keep their doors
opened. Ryan Pernice came to our temporary home at the Holiday Inn and
spoke to our club about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on his
restaurants and the restaurant industry in general. Fast
forward two years later - how is the restaurant industry faring? Are
restaurants back in full swing post-COVID? What are the biggest
challenges faced in today's economic environment? How has technology
like Door Dash or Uber Eats impacted the business? What does
the future hold?
This
week we will hear from three local veterans of the food industry whose
businesses survived the pandemic in a panel discussion moderated by our own
Gordon Owens.

Past President Moment - Allen (A.D.) Dalton 1999-2000

Remember Y2K?
Everyone was panicked about what would happen to our computer systems when the
year 2000 rolled in on January 1. The other Rotary clubs in District 6900
should have been worried about Roswell Rotary as we started a string of Club of
the Years that haven’t ended. Our President was A.D. Dalton in
1999-2000. Please hear what else happened in A.D.’s year of leadership of
Roswell Rotary. |
TUE, OCT 25 NEW LOCATION: COMPUTER MUSEUM OF AMERICA Why Does This Beer's Name Matter?Imagine that you can save lives even though your chances are 2 out of 3 that you can't give blood. The solution is simple: find a friend, family member -- or our favorite solution, your coworkers -- to donate a pint. Not only will they get cookies and snacks, but they'll also get the Roswell-popular "Pint for a Pint" coupon from Variant Brewing, including the premiere of "Blood Orange Cashmere" to celebrate all blood donors!
Then share this link with the one who will 'giveth and receiveth' so that they can reserve a donor table of their choice.
Questions should be directed to Darrell Bartlett at 770-883-7757 or Hal Schlenger at 770-335-0077. JUST ANNOUNCED:
