RRC Scholarship Awards Program
President John's Message

Every year Roswell Rotary gives four scholarships of $1,500 each to graduating high school seniors. These include:
- Tom Zachary Scholarship - two scholarships given to Roswell High School students, these awards are named for a long time Roswell Rotarian and principal of Roswell High School
- Power of One Scholarship - open to seniors in North Fulton High Schools. This scholarship is named in honor of Past President Dave McCleary, who with the Power of One has championed End Human Trafficking Now for over 10 years
- Stan Moses Scholarship - given to a Roswell High School student, this award honors a long time Roswell Rotarian and educator.
This week we invite all our recipients to join us so that we may present them with their scholarships. One student, Olivia Rodman, can’t be here this week, but was with us last week and delighted us with a powerful rendition of our National Anthem.
Many thanks to our Scholarship committee, chaired this year by Angela Medley, for their review and scoring of all the scholarship applications.

Georgia Laws Of Life Essay Contest

What is a Law of Life?
A Law of Life is a short, pithy saying or quotation that points to a core personal value or ideal. Oftentimes, a Law of Life serves as a memorable and meaningful moral compass on a person’s journey through life.
The Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest asks students to select their own Law of Life, and to write about how it applies to their lives. In doing so, students reflect deeply and write from the heart about what they think matters most. The contest celebrates the students’ stories and their often profound reflections, and proudly presents significant cash awards to students and teachers.
It's always a special treat to hear the Laws of Life from the contest winners. If you are worried about the future generations, this is a program that will give you hope!
Past President Moment
Jim Coyle: 2015 - 2016

In President Jim Coyle’s Rotary year DG Bob Hagan declared “Mystery Solved”. What Mystery? In the last scrapbook of its kind, we put nine super sleuths on the trail looking for clues to solve the “Mystery”. One mystery was where will we meet? The Community Activity Building was undergoing renovations and we had to find a temporary home. In the end Roswell Rotary again came up with solutions. Come early and check out Jim’s scrapbook on the big screen as we solve the mysteries of Rotary year 2015-2016.
