I am honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of serving as your President for Rotary Year 2023-2024. I do not take this responsibility lightly and I promise that I will do my best to lead our Club in a manner that makes you proud to be a Roswell Rotarian. I know that I stand on the shoulders of many great Roswell Rotarians and Past Presidents, and I will endeavor to live up to the high standards that they have set and that this Club deserves.
Please join me in congratulating and thanking President John Carruth for his hard work and steadfast leadership. Our Club, our city, and the world are all better off thanks to President John and his Board’s efforts.
The Board and I will endeavor to preserve the rich history and traditions that make Roswell Rotary Rock as well as forge a new generation of Roswell Rotarians and leave our mark on our Club and community. With the retirement of food services manager Juan Venegas, we have a new opportunity to reimagine our lunches and our meetings. I am excited to reveal our new caterer and lunch set up. Our goal is to maximize our time together and allow for a better viewing and dining experience. Please be patient as we work to make your lunchtime a real family-style experience as well as a warm environment that you are proud share with visiting Rotarians and guests. We also have a full list of exciting and interesting guest speakers, service opportunities, fundraisers, and partnerships with other Clubs, yes, even our friends in Alpharetta.
Together anything and everything is possible, and I am confident that we will have fun “doing good” as our beloved Malone instructed.
Onward and upward!
Alex Kaufman

Communications Team Gets Head Start

The Communications Team under the leadership of 2023-2024 Communications Chair Becky Nelson met at Gate City (Thanks Pat!) over a cold one for a little training as they begin the new Rotary year. We are still on the lookout for four more people to make our team complete!
Help Wanted:
Rotoscope: Need one person to round out the Rotoscope team and join Daryl Bartlett, Amanda Verdin, Kathy Igou, and Aliza Gevirtz on the weekly newsletter team. Hal Schlenger, our most tenured member, is moving on to the Board so we will need another dedicated person soon! Any questions reach out to Darryl Bartlett Rotoscope Committee Chair-darrell.barlett@allegion.com
Social Media Volunteers- we need at least three more people to help us with social media posting. We need more eyes and ears and picture takers out there to share our many club projects and service above self moments via social media. For info, contact Becky Nelson susbeck6061@gmail.com
