Shields Blankenship, a Roswell resident for 12 years, has always lived next to Roswell Area Park, enjoying the benefits that the area offers, such as the nature of the park and vibrant social life. In addition to Roswell Rotary, he is a member of Sons of the American Revolution and the American Legion.
Originally from South Carolina but growing up in Winston-Salem, NC, Shields returned to South Carolina for college, graduating from the University of South Carolina with a BA in History. As a result, he feels obligated to support its unorthodox football program, regardless of performance or quality of the coaching staff. He also completed an MBA in International Business at Georgia State and an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Kent Brussels School of International Studies. [read more]

Look for your invitation via email and come volunteer at the table in the front. It's the highlight of the fall!

$3,000 in Five Minutes. $9,000 for PolioPlus.
The meeting was winding down. Then Past President John Carruth offered $500 to PolioPlus, a challenge sparked by last week's Cornhole for Polio announcement. Nobody saw it coming.$3,000 in under five minutes. With the Gates Foundation's 2-for-1 match, $9,000.
One Rotarian acted — a room of doers followed — that is Roswell Rotary.Keep the challenge going: bring your pledge to the next meeting.

It’s that time again - time to vote for your favorite Canton Street Scarecrow
President Leslie Bassett and the scarecrow team of Kathy Igou, Kenneth Briggs and Jackie Jordan crafted our Peace girl ✌
Rotary District 6900’s District Governor Cynthia’s motto this year is “Peace through Economics, Culture, and Education" ☮️
Find the Peace Scarecrow on Canton Street - *hint* it may be near a certain Rotarians business.

Bob Hagan and Lee Hollingsworth presenting Roswell Rotary Club’s Service Above Self Coin to our much-beloved Charlotte Dodson. She has served largely behind the scenes in our community and our lives. Always uplifting.
A great way to connect with prospective Rotarians, in a giving, positive way!
There are so many under-recognized service warriors all around. Help find and reward them.
