President's Message
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE!

Love is filling the air at Roswell Rotary! Since Thanksgiving, Roswell Rotarians donated over 100 TOYS for needy children, donated over 100 HOODIES for homeless veterans at VEO and loved each other and rocked the house at the Holiday Party on Friday night! Well done, June Brown, Dave Wash, Luba Bilentschuk, Chris and Tracy Archer and Roswell Rotary!

This week, we will continue to celebrate the season with our annual Christmas program. There will be singing (brush up on those 12 days of Christmas!), a visit from Santa and his Elves, an inspiring message from some of our children and Rev. Kevin Head and an UGLY sweater (or in Gordon’s case, Hawaiian shirt) contest! We will also have some extraordinary entertainment to get you in the holiday spirit! You will not want to miss this meeting of fun and fellowship and bad holiday sweaters!

Thursday will be our last meeting of 2018. I want to thank all of you for your support, generosity, kindness and willingness to have fun and do good in Roswell and around the world! I am honored and humbled to lead this amazing group of people who love others and demonstrate that love in so many ways. Here’s to a great 2019!

Our next meeting will be January 10 and the next Rotascope will be in your inboxes that week. Our first Hump Day is Jan. 9 at Lucia’s at 5:30 p.m. Do plan to attend as I’m sure you will be missing your Rotary peeps by then!

May your cup overflow with love and joy. And, don't forget a little chocolate along the way! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

President Becky

North Fulton Community Charities
Warming Center LEAD Training

This winter, North Fulton Community Charities will provide a warm place for homeless men and women in Roswell. Roswell Rotary is supporting NFCC's efforts by providing mats and blankets and volunteers to help with the program during the coldest nights. If you are interested in volunteering at the NFCC warming center as a shift leader, please attend the LEAD training. Here's the information:

The Warming Center LEAD Volunteer Training will be held on Thursday, January 3 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.

We will meet at the new NFCC site at 11275 Elkins Rd, Roswell for the 1st hour, approximately.

We will then travel down to Cross of Life Lutheran Church at 1000 Hembree Rd, Roswell for the 2nd hour.

Please pass this forward and invite anyone who might be interested in being a LEAD Volunteer for the Warming Center. The LEAD Volunteers are responsible for handling the major duties for the shift, training the shift volunteers as they arrive and for reporting/recording all activities at the end of the shift, among other duties.

This training will cover the entire Warming Center Operations Manual. Training will be conducted by Bruce Gunning and Ed Klaas.

To prepare for the use of Sign Up Genius Warming Center Page, Click Here to RSVP for the LEAD training meeting.

Please contact scalloway@nfcchelp.org or 678-387-4471 with any sign up questions.

Please let Mike Nielsen know if you will attend!
