Putting An End To Polio
Last Thursday was World Polio Day. While a few of our members attended the Rotary event at the CDC, our club hosted our own event at Houck's. Bill graciously donated proceeds from Thursday night's happy hour and dinner to RI's Polio Plus fund. These funds with the contributions our club made to the CDC event and the Health Symposium along with all of our Paul Harris matching funds add up to close to $15,000 in Polio Plus giving this year. Thank You!
This Week's Meeting
Happy Halloween
Our weekly meeting happens to fall on Halloween this year, so why not use that to have some Halloween fun. Come to Rotary dressed in your costume and compete for prizes and hear a few spooky ghost stories from Roswell Ghost Tours. We have a few other tricks & treats in store for you and the Interact Clubs will let us know what service projects they will focus on this year.

GRSP Weekend Host Families Needed
The North Fulton Rotary Clubs are hosting a GRSP weekend and looking for volunteers to host students. This is a great way to meet some awesome kids from around the world. Hosting starts by picking your group up in Alpharetta on Friday evening and ends by dropping them off on Sunday morning to head back to school. In between you feed them breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings and join the whole group (including your family) for dinner on Saturday night. Roger Wise Induction Ceremony
Our very own Roger Wise will be inducted into the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 6pm in Columbus, GA. If you are interested in attending the event you can purchase banquet tickets online. If you know a Georgia Veteran that should be nominated for the Hall of Fame, you can nominate them online as well.

Honoring Our Veterans
We will be honoring our members who served in the armed forces or have family members who served they would like to invite to join us. After a meeting dedicated to our veterans we will head out for a tour of our local war memorials, ending with a reception at the American Legion. SEE THE DETAILS
Friendly Reminder
Early Voting Has Begun
While we don't endorse any candidates nor are we a political organization, as leaders of our community we should get out and vote. Early voting is available at City Hall or the East Roswell Library from 8:30AM to 5PM 10/15-10/18 and 10/21-10/26. From 10/28-11/1 early voting is available from 8:30AM to 6PM.
