Passion To Serve
I have spoken several times this year about finding your passion to serve the community. Last Saturday morning, thanks to Mickey Deaton, I was able to meet a passionate group of volunteers who had worked tirelessly to turn the Foster Care Foundation into a prom dress shop. You never know when volunteering for something will spark your passion. We have plenty of opportunities to get involved so please volunteer for Relays, Laws of Life or Read Across America. If you can't volunteer then attend Hearts for Honduras or the Be THE Voice Toga Party. You might just spark a new passion to serve.

Morris Cowan - United Way
Morris Cowan is a member of the Alpharetta Rotary Club and friends with many members of our club. Morris attempted to retire in 2010 but the call to serve others brought him back to work with the likes of the Atlanta Mission and Salvation Army. For the last 8 years Morris has focused exclusively on the United Way as the Engagement Director for North Fulton County.

Women In Rotary Event
We look forward to seeing you at our next Women in Rotary social. As always, please bring friends, neighbors, clients or co-workers who are either involved with or have an interest in Rotary. We want to meet them! We welcome your donations to North Fulton Community Charities (disposable feminine-care products) or Blessings in a Backpack (individually wrapped non-perishable food items for elementary school students in need of a weekend meal). There will be a collections box at sign-in. We hope to see you there!

Read Across America
March 2 is Dr. Suess's birthday! Schools across the country celebrate with Read Across America Day. Roswell Rotary is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Read Across Roswel Day! We will be reading the Book One by Kathryn Otoshi.

Register For District Conference
You may have your hotel room, but many of you still need to register for the District Conference so you can attend all of the events on Jekyll Island that weekend. If you haven't done so, please register as soon as possible.
