Service-Minded Rotarians
President's Message

Last Thursday we resumed our new member social, at Dave and Rena Schmit's beautiful home with 14 new members and their guests including some of our newest members of our Satellite club. It's great to socialize again after a long hiatus due to Covid.
This last weekend Roswell Rotarians were spread out over the city and beyond, participating with other non profit organizations doing good for our community and making Roswell a great place to work, live and play. Cottage School hosted their Glitter 80's party in which Rotarians raised money for students tuition. Shamrockin was back again and Rotarians were there raising money to help fight Cystic Fibrosis. Many Rotarians including members of the Roswell Rotary After Hours club helped pick up trash with Chattahoochee River Keepers. And a group of Roswell Rotarians made the long trip down to District Assembly in Columbus to learn all about how to better manage our club. WOW!
You don't want to miss this weeks meeting as Steve Stroud and our new mayor Kurt Wilson will report about the hard work our new leadership has been working on for the first 100 days this year, and their plans to make our city THE best city to live work and play in the country.
Speaker March 31
Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson will be our guest speaker

Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson to speak at Roswell Rotary Club March 31
His discussion will center around the State of this wonderful City of Roswell
About Mayor Wilson
Growing up in Alabama, Kurt Wilson was raised in the church
and developed a strong sense of faith and family at a young age. In school, he honed his skills as a boxer,
and was ranked in the state for his weight class. After graduation, he enlisted in the United
States Army where he earned the Soldier of the Year accolade.
Military Influences
Following his service to the nation, Kurt began a new
professional journey in the corporate world.
Starting as a second shift worker, he quickly worked up the ranks using
the leadership skills he learned in the military. His ability to connect with all types of
people, along with an unmatched work ethic, helped Kurt excel in a rigorous
environment and take on additional leadership responsibilities to grow the
company and improve its operations.
American Dream
A bold risk-taker, Kurt left the comfort and success of
working in corporate America to build small businesses. As a job creator, mentor, and leader, Kurt
has achieved the American Dream through multiple successful business ventures
and cultivating strong relationships with employees, business partners,
executives, and fellow entrepreneurs.
Family Influences
Kurt is a proud husband to Stacey and father of four
daughters who each keep him grounded in their own unique way. Through his family and life experiences, Kurt
is committed to helping others aspire to achieve their own American Dream
through a solid foundation on God’s gifts to him of vision, acumen, reason,
kindness, tenacity, ability to execute, and love and service to his fellow man
which propelled him to be elected Mayor of Roswell, Georgia, in November 2021.
Join your fellow Rotarians on March 31st to welcome Mayor Wilson to our club!
