Welcome Back to Our Weekly Meetings!
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to embark on an exciting year ahead. Our weekly meetings are resuming, and we look forward to reconnecting with each of you.
Special Guest Speaker: Nurse Behind the Historic Patient Transfer
We are honored to announce that our guest speaker will be the nurse who orchestrated the remarkable logistics to move 202 patients from Egleston Hospital to the newly opened Arthur M. Blank Hospital in just 12 hours. This unprecedented feat involved coordinating 65 ambulances and collaborating with over 15 state and local agencies, including Georgia State Patrol and local police departments. The move began at 7:30 a.m. and lasted for 12 hours, as anticipated.
Our speaker will share firsthand insights into the planning, challenges, and triumphs of this historic operation, offering valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and crisis management.
Passing of Past President 1987-1988 Trummie Patrick Sr.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Trummie Patrick, Sr., a beloved member of our Roswell Rotary family and Past President (1987-88). Trummie passed away peacefully in his sleep last night. As we reflect on Trummie’s years of service and leadership within our club, we are reminded of the impact he made on Roswell Rotary and the community at large. His dedication to Rotary’s ideals of service and fellowship will always be remembered and cherished.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24, at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church Roswell located at 710 Mimosa Boulevard, Roswell GA 30075.
