Seeking Laws of Life Essay Judge Volunteers!
Members of Roswell Rotary Club are invited to participate in the rewarding and inspiring
process of judging entries to this year’s Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest.
Volunteers can choose to be a school-level judge, a state judge or both.
School-Level Essay Judges work in teams of three to read and score student essays
from one or more schools.
Each team is assigned up to 48 essays approximately one week before the
meeting.
Estimated time commitment is 5-7 hours per team.
Essays are read and scored independently online
Teams submit scores 24 hours before they meet virtually to select school-level
winners
Judging and team meetings take place mid-February into early March
State-Level Essay Judges independently read and rank the top finalist essays in a
blind review process to determine the State Winners.
Each state judge is assigned 15 – 18 finalist essays
Estimated time commitment is 3 – 4 hours
All judging is completed independently online
State-level judging takes place at the end of March
