Michael Mizell is a N Fulton, Johns Creek Resident since retiring from the US Army in 1994 after 21.5 yrs. He is a Lieutenant Colonel, Military Police Officer and served as a Provost Marshal, Deputy Provost Marshal, Company Commander, Bn Staff Officer, Us Army Provost Marshal Staff-Europe with certifications from Army Command and General Staff College, Northwestern Traffic Institute-Accident Investigations, FBI Hostage Negotiations, and master's degree from Florida Institute of Technology. He is also a graduate of UGA.

Michael's first civilian job was with the Atlanta Olympic Cmte, 1994-96, as the Security Manager for the 1996 Olympic Village at GA Tech.

In 1996, Michael was a District Manager for Pinkerton Security, covering the state of GA for every location south of Griffin. After 2 yrs, he started his own Security Company, Millennium Security Services, LLC, performing federal, state, local and private guard services as a VA recognized Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that focused on transitioning

and hiring military veterans. MSS was recognized by the American Legion, 6 times in GA and 4 times nationally, as the Small Business Veteran Employer of the Year. Closed by Covid after 22yrs in 2020, the last 12 yrs Dept of Labor records show over 500 veterans transitioned through MSS into new careers.

Michael served as a founding member and President of the Johns Creek Veterans Association, 7 or the last 9 years, doubling up as President of the JC Veterans Memorial Walk, a 5.5-acre Veterans Memorial in Johns Creek, recognized as the second largest veterans memorial park outsjde of DC. He is nowworkingwith Pathlight Counseling Services as Volunteer Director of Community Veterans Outreach and has gone all in on his own 501c3 Nonprofit, The Colonel's Cup Foundation, thecolonelscupfoundatlon.org, helping GA veterans and their families solve problems to include homelessness, PTSD, drugand alcohol addiction, trauma, job networking and more. If it's a vet problem, Michael is all in. He is serving on our Roswell Rotary Cmte for Veteran Support.

Michael is married to Laurel Eades Mizell (Executive Assistant to the Horseshoe Bend HOA Bd-23 yrs) and will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Sept 11, 2026. They have 4 children, 3 boys and a girl and7 grandchildren.
